Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? We are currently recruiting Behaviour & Learning Support Assistants to work within a variety of SEN and SEMH schools across the Chorley area.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support to access education and reach their full potential.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Supporting students both in and out of the classroom.
• Encouraging engagement, participation, and positive learning behaviours.
• Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner.
• Building positive relationships and acting as a strong role model for young people.
• Working closely with teaching staff to support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children or young people within education, care, support work, sports coaching, youth work, or similar settings.
• A positive, patient, and resilient attitude.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
• SEN/SEMH experience is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
