HGV Mechanic - Warrington 

We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Mechanic to join a well-established commercial vehicle business in Warrington.

Location: Warrington
Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour
Role Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of HGVs and commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on HGVs
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
• Carry out inspections and identify defects
• Repair and replace vehicle components where required
• Work on braking, suspension, steering and other vehicle systems
• Complete maintenance and repair records accurately
• Ensure vehicles meet required safety and roadworthiness standards
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Work effectively as part of a professional workshop team

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
• Experience working with commercial vehicles or HGVs
• Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and servicing
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safe working practices
