Location: Home based with travel to company sites

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum + Commission

Working Hours: 38 hours per week

About The Role:

We are looking for an experienced technical sales engineer to join the team helping us with the continued growth and development of the Braude product range, alongside delivering industrial heating and process engineering projects.

This is a home based role with travel to customer sites throughout the UK and worldwide. Ideally, we are looking for candidates within the North West of the UK, however we would be willing to consider candidates based further afield with suitable experience.

About you:

• The successful candidate will possess technical, practical, or commercial experience in electric process heating equipment, or have a background within metal surface processing, chemical treatment, or other demanding industrial environments.
• You'll need to be comfortable engaging with customers to understand and support a wide range of process heating applications involving tanks, vats, vessels, and production lines. This will include reviewing process temperatures, chemical compositions, tank construction, heater selection and positioning, material compatibility, electrical requirements, and control philosophies.
• Experience working with end users, OEMs, process line manufacturers, chemical suppliers, engineering contractors, or system integrators within these industries would be highly advantageous.
• You must be able to demonstrate a strong ability to understand industrial processes, identify customer requirements, and develop technically sound and commercially viable solutions.
• A proactive and consultative approach, combined with the confidence to discuss complex applications with customers and colleagues, will be key to success in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with industrial customers, EPC contractors, and project stakeholders
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within industrial and project-based markets
• Manage the sales cycle from enquiry through quotation, negotiation, and order closure
• Support achievement of agreed sales targets and KPIs
• Monitor market trends and customer requirements

EPC Contracts, Tenders & Registration:

• Support management of EPC-related enquiries, tenders, and bid submissions
• Assist with reviewing tender documentation, technical specifications, and commercial requirements
• Coordinate internal inputs to ensure accurate and timely tender responses
• Contribute to the preparation of technical and commercial proposals
• Assist with the registration and prequalification of the company with EPC clients, including maintaining supplier portals, documentation, and basic compliance requirements
• Maintain awareness of key EPC customers' procurement and registration processes

Technical & Customer Support:

• Attend customer sites, meetings, and project discussions as required
• Liaise with engineering and operations teams to ensure feasibility and smooth handover

Administration & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity tracking, and tender status updates
• Provide regular activity and opportunity reporting to management
